About Nicolette
Nicolette Winner is a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA) with more than 10 years of volunteer engagement and community relations experience. A director of two distinctly different volunteer centers over the course of 6 years, she has worked closely with upwards of 500 nonprofit organizations in a seven county region within Western Ohio. She is passionate about helping others make a difference in ways that are meaningful to each individual. She is a self-described "do gooder", and she finds herself happiest in helping others connect their unique skills to real community needs.
A frequent speaker on topics related to volunteer engagement and nonprofit community relations, Nicolette has presented to audiences on local, regional, statewide, and national levels. Her professional affiliations include serving as Vice President of the Miami Valley Association of Volunteer Administrators (MVAVA), serving on the steering committee for the Miami County Not-For-Profit Council through the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce, and participating as a founding member within Helping Young Professionals Emerge (HYPE) in Miami County, Ohio. She was named Outstanding Volunteer Administrator by MVAVA in 2008, Forty Under 40 by Dayton Business Journal in 2009, and Top 25 Women to Watch 2013 by Women in Business Networking (WiBN). Nicolette has also held leadership roles within and served as a member of the Ohio Volunteer Center Association, Generation Dayton, HandsOn Network, Edison Academy for Community Leadership steering committee, and more.
Nicolette earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts: Public Relations from Ohio Northern University. A mother of two young boys, she resides in Troy, OH, with her husband Adam.
